Roman brought us news from the Ukrainian Antarctic station Academician Vernadsky, told about the life of the XXIV expedition, shared photos.
We plunged into the history of the station, which only since February 6, 1996 became the property of Ukraine and learned about new traditions on it.

Roman paid attention to the role of radio amateurs at the station. It turned out that in total no more than 7 Ukrainian hams had visited the station.

UT7UA itself has made most of the connections in DIGI modes mainly in FT8.

It turned out the station gladly accepts tourists and there is an opportunity to work with the collective radio station EM1U. So pack your baggage and in the new season (from November to April) you have a unique opportunity to visit Antarctica and shake hands with the Ukrainian polar explorers!

Now the following antenna analyzers are used at the station: RigExpert AA-1400, RigExpert AA-230 ZOOM and transceiver interface RigExpert TI-8.

According to the information received from the staff of the Antarctic station Akademik Vernadsky, RigExpert devices were used for amateur and professional purposes. Such, for example, as checking the cables and antennas of equipment for studying the ionosphere.

Friends, the live broadcast (in Russian) of the entire meeting can be viewed on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RigExpertUkraineLtd
