Fobos SDR Now Has Native SDRangel Support on Linux
Great news for Fobos SDR and Linux users!
Fobos SDR support in SDRangel has been expanded: following the introduction of native support on Windows, Fobos SDR is now available as a native SDRangel source on Linux as well.
Native Fobos SDR support for Linux was officially added to SDRangel in version v7.27.0. The SDRangel release notes specifically mention that the native Fobos SDR source plugin was enabled for Linux.
This is another important step in the development of the Fobos SDR software ecosystem and expands the ways users can work with the receiver across different platforms.
What Does This Mean for Linux Users?
Previously, using Fobos SDR with SDRangel on Linux could require additional steps and manual configuration.
Now, Fobos SDR is integrated directly into SDRangel as a native source plugin. This means Fobos SDR can be used as an I/Q signal source without relying on third-party intermediate solutions.

SDRangel officially supports Fobos SDR as a sample source plugin that receives I/Q samples directly from the Fobos SDR device.

Native Fobos SDR support is available in SDRangel for:
- Windows — starting with SDRangel v7.26.0
