Depending on how you participate, we may collect:
• your callsign, if you choose to provide it;
• information about your amateur radio station, equipment, operating habits and experience;
• your answers to research questions and any comments you provide;
• your email address if you choose to receive research follow-up;
• your name and preferred language if you choose to provide them;
• information about your participation, such as invitation and response identifiers, questionnaire version and submission time.

Please do not provide passwords, exact home addresses, GPS coordinates, network addresses, equipment serial numbers or other information that is not requested by the questionnaire.

3. Why do we use this information?

We use the information to:
• understand how amateur radio stations are set up, operated and maintained;
• identify user needs, difficulties and opportunities for improvement;
• improve RigExpert products, services and support;
• analyse research results;
• contact participants who have specifically agreed to research follow-up;
• manage the research process and maintain data quality.

Your participation in this research does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.

4. Is participation voluntary?

Yes. Participation is voluntary. You may skip questions where this is allowed and may stop participating at any time.

5. How do we protect your information?

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect research information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

Research responses may be linked to an invitation record for research administration and follow-up. Therefore, the research is confidential but not anonymous.

We will not publicly publish your callsign, email address or identifiable station details without a separate agreement or other appropriate basis.

6. Who may have access to the information?

Access is limited to authorised RigExpert project personnel who need the information for the research.

We may also use service providers that help us operate the questionnaire, store or process research data, or analyse research results. Where appropriate, these providers process information on our behalf and under applicable data-protection requirements.

For this questionnaire, we may use Tally as the survey platform and other approved service providers as necessary to conduct the research.

7. AI-assisted processing

Where AI-assisted tools are used for research administration, analysis or processing, they will be used only where appropriate safeguards are in place and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

We do not ask participants to provide sensitive personal information through this questionnaire.

8. How long do we keep the information?

We retain research information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice, taking into account research, reporting, legal and operational requiremen
